Regional training in Saudi Arabia

The Arabic translation of the Training Manual is available for download at the bottom of our overview page.

Jointly with the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education and UNEP/GPA, the Regional Organisation for the Conservation of the Environment of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden ( PERSGA) delivered a regional training course on municipal wastewater management to experts of the PERSGA member states, many of which were decision-makers. The course, though primarily delivered in the English language, was partially moderated in Arabic.

The course was organised and partially funded by PERSGA, with an additional contribution from the UNEP Regional Office for West Asia ROWA.  The strong support of PERSGA demonstrates both regional demand for and existing capacity in environmental training.

The 32 participants came from Djibouti, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen.
